2016 R1200RT ALTERNATOR BELT REPLACEMENT

Has anyone found or posted a video on how to replace alternator belt on a 2016 R1200RT??

I've found several for older models which shows a 'cover' to remove. The 2016 does not have this 'cover'??

None of the waterboxers have an alternator belt. The alternator is internal to the engine and direct drive.

The LC 1200 does not appear to have an alternator belt based on parts diagrams... I believe (but would need to check my Haynes) that the alternator is shaft/gear-driven on the front or back face of the engine block... Or as Ron states - internal.

After we've answered this question, I'm looking for replacement rad hoses for my Volkswagen Beetle.

Find the coolant pump -- the hose to the radiator will be attached to it.

Unlikely. Frankly, I was a little surprised that no one mentioned the infamous fratastate or the gungulator pins.

All in good fun. I suspect gtmskier picked up on that fairly quickly....
