I put a new alternator belt on the bike a conti and ever since then I get a slip squeal when flicking the throttle. This only happens when engine is cold.Belt is tight with 90 degree twist.Took cover off and started bike and same thing.Has anybody had some similar experience? It has to be the belt in my opinion.

An old belt. I have had old stock do this.
Check the date code.
Torque the belt correctly as per the OE service manual and bulletin. 8nm is the figure.
It is also recommended to retorque after 1000km
90 degree twist is not a correct way to set the torque.

If you wish the service bulletin and info on the correct tool PM me you email address.
It is a .pdf document.
