Hi All,
I made the mistake of riding down my dirt road in the rain and NOT rinsing off my bike. I got pulled away from riding for a few weeks and a one might imagine things got rusty! I have only ever rode on it while it was dry. I learned that lesson the hard way.
The brake pads left etched rusty outlines, the BMW crash bars had rusty spot a the welds and so on. I rinsed things off and went for a ride. The rotor de-rusted itself but the crash bars still have rusty spots. I am tempted to use some phosphoric acid to convert the rust but before I mess things up worse, I am open to suggestions. Thoughts?
Thanks in advance!
