2000 R1100 no start, dash lights on

As stated above, my 2000 R1100 RS, won’t start with key on, dash lights lit, side stand up. I cannot hear the fuel pump.
I am traveling, and am limited to only my OEM tool kit.

Any thoughts as to where to begin diagnosing? I’m in a hotel, and currently nightfall, so won’t have lighted access until morning.

Bike should be in Neutral with the green light on... is it?
Check the connector at the right bottom rear of the gas tank - if it has a broken wire, or isn't fully seated, there won't be power to the pump. Worst case: broken wire inside the tank.

Does the starter turn over? If starter won't turn over, check side stand switch and kill switch. If side stand turns over, but no fuel pump pressurize, try swapping the horn relay for the fuel pump relay in the fuse box.

I would agree with Paul. If you have a center stand on the RS (sorry, I don't know) put it on the center stand. Turn the key on and raise and lower the side stand a few times by hand. When up the fuel pump will run even if the bike is in 1st gear when the side stand is up (I just tried this on my R1100RT.

I am in southern Delaware. Now that it’s light out, I am going to have a look at some of your ideas.
And the started does not turn over. Just to summarize, Bike in neutral, side stand up, key in on/ run position. All dash lights lit, fuel, neutral etc. when kill switch is moved to run position, I do not hear the fuel pump, which is normally heard. Push starter, nothing.

Thanks for all the input, I am going out to the bike, to check some of the ideas.

SUCCESS,
I poked around the side stand switch, removing the spade connectors, and suddenly, the fuel pump came on. Looks like over time, grime, road stuff, caused a poor connection. But, I also noticed that the wiring cover has degraded. (See photos).

I appreciate all of your help. No fun to be broken down, miles from home.
Again, thanks all.
