'11 R1200RT - Where on RepRom are the Maintenance Schedules

Hello all, I'm new to the forum and have put 4 thousand miles on my new '11 RT in about 6 weeks...what fun!.

I've searched on this site and found posts stating that the maintenance schedules are on the DVD Repair Manual ('RepRom'?). I have the 4th Edition (1/2010) but for the life of me I cannot find the Maintenance Schedules on that DVD!

Can anyone indicate to me where on the DVD I can find these documents?

BTW: I have found threads pointing out that ascycles has this information, but those schedules are dated 2006.

Thanks in advance

Thanks, I am thinking you mean under the top right button labeled 'Inspection Instructions" I can see all of them when I select the 2009 and earlier RTs [i.e. "R 1200 RT (398) (USA)"], but the list stops after "BMW Running-in Check (see Maintenance Schedule)" when I select the '10 and later RTs. That may mean that the Maintenance Schedules haven't changed for the '10 and later RTs.

In any case, I can't seem to get any .pdf versions of the Maintenance Schedules (I should have been clear about that in my original post). Are there .pdf printouts of these schedules, or are each of the tasks simply 'links' to the relevant sections of the DVD manual?

Sorry for the silly questions, being rather old school about my vehicle maintenance , I am sort of used to printed manuals in binders! :)

Bitch to BMW customer service while you're at it. I too have a 22011 RT and the lack of a hardcopy tech manual pisses me off. Complaining probably won't help, but it sure can't hurt.

On the page where you select the bike type . On the right hand side under the picture of the bike . On my DVD (2007) is a selectable list

Inspection instructions
Repair manual
Overview/Templates
Technical data
Tightening torques
Pre delivery checks
Maintenance schedule
Service data
Special tools

OPSailor - RepRom refers to the Service Manual DVD. It does not come with the bike. I always have serviced my old cars and bikes , years ago and more recently when I started again. But I've always had service schedules and the service manual in printed form.

I'm not complaining, just trying to figure out the best way to use the DVD. It does do some neat things, but I just wanted an up to date printed copy of the service schedule and try as I might I can't find one in an easily formatted .pdf type file to print from the DVD.

Yes, that's what I see:

. . .and when I select "inspection instructions" for the 2010-2011 RT I get the following, none of which bring up a printable .pdf file.

If I select the 2009 and earlier RTs I get many more options for service instructions for intervals beyond the running-in service:

I also searched in all the files on the DVD for any .pdf files...there is a short one in several languages, but no other .pdf files containing service schedules and certainly nothing like the older service schedules available on ascycles website. I'm not computer whiz, but I can tell the files on the DVD are mostly .xml and .html files, and a bunch of little img files, etc. Like I said above, no big deal, I just was looking for a simple print out.

Guess I'll be making my own when I put all the pieces together from the DVD . . .

Cheers,

Junipero

Below is a copy and paste off the RepRom . The formating isn't an exact copy.
I also get a printer icon in the upper right hand side along with a conversion program icon . I pasted it below the maintenance schedule

See Your Dealer

I had the same issue and it is not on the DVD. I went to the dealer and they printed out the service schedules for me. I'd suggest you try the same.

Dave/Don....I did ask the service manager, he said they should be on the DVD. So I ordered the 2010 DVD, but they are not, at least not incompleted done at the various intervals, it just doesn't contain hard copies to print out. I will get latelst copies next time I am at the shop.

I have seen the ascycles .pdf's I am sure there isn't much difference on the maintenance check list items from 2006 (the date of the ascycles maint. sheets), so not a big deal to use them in conjunction with the new DVD I am sure . . .

Thanks for the replies
