07 RT no-start

Asking this for a friend who started the bike thru the winter but is a no start now. It turns over and he says the dash read-out is SET, and on my newer RT this shows up when the cruise control is set. He said he has never used the cruise control. Really did not get other specifics so just asking.

How old is the battery?

? said it was on maintainer over the winter. I take it just turning over the engine may not be enough for the modern electrics needs?
