04 1150rt rear shock replacement

Need instructions for replacing my rear shock. I know I have to take off the rear wheel and the adjustable seat mount. Do I also need to remove any of the body parts. Does the bottom anchor pin have loctite on it? Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the forum!
I can't help you on your question but there is a good group of guys that can....hang on for a bit!

It shouldn't have loctite on it. Will be much easier is you remove at least one fairing side, and you have to release the pre-load adjuster. One trick I used for installation - put a loop of string through the upper eye of the strut and use the string to pull the strut up into position - makes the install much easier.

Thanks much for the info. Checked the directions that came with the shock. With any luck I should only have to remove the right rear side panel. Feeling optomistic about my chances. Now just have to find the time. Thanks everyone.
