TPMS sensor buy

BMW uses the same tire pressure monitor sensor, they call them RDC sensor with valve, on many models, R and K. The part number is 36238521797.

The BMW part retails for $130. A manufacturer in China sells them through their Hong Kong distributor (IVOK) for $50 plus $30 shipping PER ITEM. There is a eBay seller from China selling a set of four for $150 plus $20 shipping. BMW sources these sensors from China.

I already replaced one on my '09 GS two years ago and it's failing again, and I might as well replace the other original one as well, but I don't need two spares.

Any member up here willing to go halves on a purchase? $85 and I'll cover the cost of shipping the two to you.

Nope.
When mine go out I plan on replacing the battery in each of the sensors.
A simple and reliable fix, and it doesn't cost $130, just the cost of the batteries and some sealant.
Good luck with yours!

lgb, with this deal one will cost $42.50. I tried the battery replacement. Easier said than done. I can almost guarantee you'll screw up the first attempt....I did. That's why I'm trying to buy reasonably priced replacements.

No interest in acquiring some spares? These carry BMW part numbers. I'm pretty sure BMW sources this part from China.

An email to the vendor selling the units got him to change the quantity from four to two...after he finished his meal! Problem solved, two TPMS sending units ordered.
