Dammit Derek, you had to start this thread and make me tear up the house trying to find the damn disc, only to eventually find it right here in the clutter on my desk.
Anyway, the year is 2001. I was 33, and had just spent the last eight months doing a total refurb of a 1985 K100RT that had been sorely neglected and spent the eighteen months prior to delivery parked uncovered under a tree (see A K100 In Need Of Love, BMWON, April 2007 I think?).
When I was 13 I had been a passenger on a bike belonging to a friend of my mom's, and I had also ridden a friend's mini-trail and rented a moped at the beach...but none of those experiences were ever photographed. So in 2001 I had a bike of my own and digital photograhy had been invented.
I had gotten it back together (except the fairing, which I was still repairing) and running, and the next day I tested it in the parking lot of the apartment complex where I was living:

LE stood for Little Engine. 200cc water cooled shaft drive.
No not a police man, that was his riding gear.
