Is there a way to eliminate the air bubbles that sometimes appear in the mercury columns?

As long as you brought it up, can you still buy Carb Sticks? I thought they quit making them years ago, because of the Mercury. I have a Twin Max and it seems to work ok, but I sure wish I had my old Carb Stick back.
If that don't work, you can try one of these.
That's the site I found when I made mine. 1/20" mercury = 13/16" oil.

I've always used the mercury sticks and find they work great, but I must say I'm very taken with the simplicity and potential sensitivity of the oil stix setup, and can see no downside to it. Makes me wish I didn't already have the mercury setup so I could try it![]()
