As a lot of our favorite motorcycle magazines have died off recently (still thankful for the Owner's News), I've been doing a little search to see what else is out there and stumbled across Moto eMag

It's not a 200 page magazine, but it has some interesting things each month. An best of all, it fits with my BMW-rider budget (cause it's free)

They did a "Woes" series not long ago about some of the major brands:

I know the guy who started this up and he has a long and rich background in the motorcycle industry, so his "speculations" are usually based in some good info. A very tasty publication.

I searched around the site, and could not find info on the identities of the editors. Given recent history of "alternative facts," my BS radar goes off when an opinion writer won't put their name on their work. But in any case, I found it interesting. In particular, the author of the "BMW Woes" piece seems to contradict himself when first claiming that the R18 was a great idea, and later claiming, "I told them it was a bad idea."

Did anyone else read it that way?

Your cautiousness is understandable, and I'm not at liberty to name names until the editor chooses to do so. This person has been involved as a high level with several major European brands in his career and I believe chooses to focus on the content of his publication rather than the publisher. I know his sources are very good, and the content valid as much as I have or could fact check.

Maybe, but would that make him any more or less creditable? I'll pass along the suggestion - you never know.
