Are the DarienLight pants meant for wearing over other pants?

You can wear them that way or not, depending on how you have them sized. Personally, when I ordered my Darien pants, it got them sized so they fit like jeans because I choose to not wear them as over-pants. I think they are sized as over-pants, but if you don't want to use them as over-pants, just order the next size smaller. But, they will work either way. Aerostich has great service, so call them before ordering.
