BMW Motorrad Connected App

I have a 2012 K1600 GTL. I downloaded the BMW Motorrad Connected App to my Android phone and then tried to connect to my bike. My phone is connected to my Navigator IV GPS but the App instructions say I should connect to the bluetooth on the bike itself. On the bike I only have options to Pair Helmet 1 or Pair Helmet 2. I tried pairing the phone as Helmet 2 but it didn't work. Has anyone successfully linked the Motorrad Connected App to a K1600? Thank in advance.

I don't think a 2012 has the software necessary for the interface.

Joe

Correct. The Connected App only works on the newer bikes (2018+) equipped with the TFT display screen. And “works” is open to interpretation.

Best,
DeVern
