Are you using the BMW Motorrad Connected app on your phone (with the ConnectedRide cradle, of course)?
You may have realized by now that a saved route or track can be rendered nearly useless if you stray from it slightly while riding. This is due to automatic route recalculating. Most modern GPS unit software allows this functionality to be turned off, thus preserving your route if you deviate from it. Unfortunately, this isn't possible in the Connected app, and I think it should be.
If you agree, please consider making a request to the Connected app developers at connectedride@bmw.com
Ask them to allow route recalculation to be disabled or turned off in the app.
