All y’all BMW bikers are welcome to meet-up in the small but soon-to-be crowded township of South Pittsburg, TN on Saturday morning. Mrs-HSV published her first Ride-2-Meet in the April edition of Airmail. The new Airmarshal and her appointed helper (HSV-Phil) will be riding a casual back-country route from Huntsville up toward NE AL and nearby southern Tennessee this Saturday. We plan to depart the new RaceTrac gas station {beside the McDonald’s at the intersection next to 3725 Hwy-72] at 0900; to arrive around 1045 in Tenn [ N35° 00.830' W85° 42.012' ]. The National Cornbread Festivals gates open at 0900 so everyone can just drop by whenever they happen to get there. Gonna be a whole lotta cornbread to sample... :eat

The description of the weekend’s festivities are at: https://nationalcornbread.com/ where you may choose to purchase an eTicket in advance. I paid $11.85 p/p last month. I hope some of y'all curious BMW bikers will make an appearance on a pleasant Spring Saturday (mid-day temps=upper 70s). Might even encounter a few of Tenn Airmarshal Greg’s Airheads in town that day. Traffic & parking will be managed by the city, county & state police. I’m hoping to park our modest group of AL-bikers on the north-side, 3rd St entrance up near 1st St & Ash Ave. RSVP texts; (301) 503-7472

Happy Trails whenever U can - Ciao!

festival-entrance.jpegLong-Queue.jpegAirmarshal-in-Q.jpegMain-St-vendor.jpegR_bikes.jpegNo interest from the SE MOA contingent in this year's National Cornbread Festival yesterday, so the Alabama Airmarshal and her vice-chair rode our own ride to South Pittsburg, TN. For our morning jaunt following the North Alabama Vintage M/C breakfast, it was an overcast and "cool" 67F. We managed in our summer gear knowing the afternoon temps were forecasted for 80F. The entire town and local community seemed to fill the streets in the 4-block center of South Pittsburg. T'was already crowded when we arrived @1030, but we rode our airheads into town and managed a bikers' spot up near the entrance on S Cedar Ave. The atmosphere was that of a county fair, and the streets were crowded with children, families, baby buggies, and seniors in 'lectric wheelchairs (aka mainstream US). Now we know when & where to go for the 40th or 41st annual Cornbread festival. We paid the extra $8 for a plate of cornbread varieties from community groups along Cornbread Alley (to include a song from a nearby church group of bakers). All very tasty in the southern style sponsored by the folks who make LODGE Cast Iron kitchen products & cornbread mix in-town. So we had our taste of Americana & southern cornbread, and then we exited south just after noon. We spotted a few GS's parked it town with some random Harleys. Ya had to see it to believe it - it resembled the midway of the Iowa State Fair (almost). But we had a good ride on our olde BMWs and came home to more sunshine & yard work. Enjoy your local BMW clubs' activities when the time comes in your Home of Record. Ciao - HSV-Phil with HSV-Karen 🤜 🤛
