2011 RT Guide to Side Cases and Top Box Repair?

I am doing some work on my 2011 R1200RT side cases and top box and would like to know if there are videos or detailed diagrams that would help with assembly and disassembly? I cannot seem to find what I'm seeking on YouTube.

I was able to take the inner liner out of a side case because I needed to fix the spooling mechanism that keeps the case from opening all the way. Unfortunately, the lock wasn't held in by anything other than the pressure from the inner lining and now I have a small bent metal rod that looks like it goes to the locking mechanism and I don't know how to put it back where it goes! The rest of the repair went well.

I don't want the same problems when I take apart the top box. Any diagrams, videos, or other comprehensive guides to how these things are assembled will be much appreciated.
