2002 R1150RS side case locks frozen

I recently reacquired my 1150 sans top case and with side case locks frozen solid. I tried several magical juices, then took one to a locksmith. He tried his magical juice to no avail. I have been soaking them occasionally for many weeks without any improvement.

At some point in the not-too-distant future I anticipate using my Dremmel or similar tool to completely disable the locking mechanism.

I am thoroughly open to suggestions.

Oh yeah, while you are at it, recommendations on replacement top cases are welcome too.

This will do a lot better over in the oilheads forum. This forum is for airheads, the generation before your R1150RS.
