Wrap material to protect panniers from stone chips

Hi All,

I just purchased a set of black BMW panniers and a top box for my 2018 R1200GS Adventure. I’m looking for some guidance on protective wrap material to mitigate damage due to stone chips and other debris that can chip/scratch the finish. I’ve found a couple options at Humvee Graphics (https://www.humvee-graphics.com/~humveegr/r1200-gs-adventure-clear-pannier-wrap-kit.html) and Signature Custom Designs (https://www.signaturecd.com/product/bmw-gs-2014-side-panniers-protector-films/). They provide wet-application wrap materials pre-cut to the BMW panniers and top box. I’m not sure who manufacturers the wrap material.

Does anyone have experience with the Humvee or Signature products? Any other dealers/manufactures you can recommend? Any opinions on which wraps provide the greatest protection?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Tim

Not sure if it is less money, but when I got my 2017 GS, I took it to a car shop which specialized in installing clear bras. They charged me about $100. It is an option. My $0.02 worth. YMMV
