Why we ride

ding, ding, ding...a Winner

Pg 49 March ON in an article by Darrell Peters titles "Riding as Art" . Dave got it right as to the thread question; Why Do We ride?

snip...

"Don't ride simply because you can; ride because you’re searching for something, because you want to fulfill your destiny as an artist."

Everyone rides for their reasons some long, some short, but this one seems to fit the reasons I ride.

I was on nice ride today. 55-84 F and dry here, and we went to a place 2000 feet higher and got cold, just not too cold.

I ride for the sight, sound ,smell, feel of it in total. You see stuff as you pass by and smell it to boot!@ then you feel the road.the wind containing those smells as you pass along the rolling movie unfolding before you. WOW such openess and carefree to do as you choose,or to stop and check it out, or wave a thumbs up! Lots of time to contemplate in context to what, where your heading.
You want more!:thumb

Sounds like when I rode in the back of a truck on the farm when I was a kid. Just something about the smell of nature on a backroad.
