Why so tall?

I’m guessing the desire to flatfoot may change with my age (64)and comfort level. I can flatfoot most of our bikes, at times my 05 RT seemed tall... until I rode a GS and any enduro bike. As long as I can get one down, I’m fairly( not always) good :eek I about rip my leg off riding the S bikes or the 690Duke when I do a mid ride leg stretch like I do on the GSA. Have member buds here that have rolling side mounted their bikes like I would a bicycle. Always impressed!

H has a wonky ankle from an almost twenty year ago slide off on a HD. She’s always biased to the good one and has ridden taller bikes at times. I can count the fall overs on half of a hand, mine are a bit higher due to gravity and a longer toe touch than expected like a crowned shoulder.

This one just made her laugh... the specs said 36.2 for stock height . She’s 5-7 ish

It did for me, last year I sold off the GS [ had to use balls of feet, couldn't flat foot ] and bought an RS. I can flat foot the RS with a good bend to the knees. Eminently more confident coming to stop lights/signs where command of the bike is concerned.

Just feels like I have more control over the balance of the bike, and the safety factor re: dropping the bike is increased exponentially [ for me ]. I'm not particularly vertically challenged, but the GS was the first motor I couldn't flat foot that I've owned. A few years of tip toeing through potential drops at stops and advancing years convinced me to get back to something I could flat foot.
