KKJZ (aka KJAZZ 88.1 HD2). I came across this station a few years ago when I spent some time in LA. I recently found that the NPR station has an app and now I stream it here in hot, steamy North Carolina. If you like jazz, look it up. I prefer their HD2 feed which is more classic jazz, bebop.

In my youth I grew up near the beach, specifically the Atlantic ocean on the coast of North Carolina. Some of the popular music was often referred to as "beach music", cause we were at the beach. I guess that it is a real genre... One song that was popular was "Stay" written by Maurice Williams and recorded by him and the Zodiacs. Perhaps more popular covers are done by Jackson Browne and the Hollies. Maurice Williams has died at age 86... This song surely brings back memories...
