While I was out riding my 2013 RT yesterday my Brake Failure light illuminated so I pulled over in a parking lot and turned the bike off to restart it and see if it would clear up. When I turned the key back on I got a red warning triangle followed by a yellow triangle and the bike started but the LCD display panel didn’t display anything at all. The bike ran fine all the way home and the ABS functioned normally. In the garage it restarted fine and the LCD came on normally.
I have a good 1 year old Odyssey battery that’s fully charged and the bike appears to be functioning normally now.
Any ideas as to what’s going on? I've never had any similar problem before.

I'm not intimately familiar with the '13 1200 series, but they have TWO bulbs in that rear housing (plus two more for the turn signals). Maybe the computer is saying that one of them (or both...) is bad?

Is your bike the later liquid-cooled version? 2013 was a transition year:
If it is, then you have the LED arrangement, and my picture above does not apply, sorry.
But if you have incandescent bulbs, then do the quick and easy thing first.
Another possibility is that one of the brake light switches is intermittent due to crud buildup.
