uni-go

Thanks, I just got back from my first trip with the uni-go (1400 miles) through Tennessee. on the twisties it preforms perfect but on the freeway above 80 mph it seems to make the bike dance around ever so slightly.any suggestions ?

1) be sure that the cinch bolt on the hitch is tight; 2) be sure tire balanced; 3) be sure that trailer, hitch and bike are on the same vertical plane.... a modest adjustment can be made where tongue and trailer body bolt together; 4) be sure that hitch has absolutely no movement..... twisting forces are significant..... I had my hitch reinforced with some bracing; 5) load bike and trailer as if an 11 ft motorcycle...... putting all the weight in the trailer and none on the bike can get a bit of a wobble happening (happened once to me and that's how I found that out). Usually not just one thing but could be. Since it is freeway primarily I would check tire balance. - Bob

Thanks for the info. I bought the trailer used & it came with the stock uni-go hitch but I already had a dauntless hitch on my bike so i converted it to tow the uni-go. I just switched over to the uni-go hitch & the problem seems to have gone away. This trailer tows like a dream. I love it. Thanks again

Uni-go hitch is built to deal with the significant twisting forces introduced by a one wheel trailer. Glad it worked out for you. - Bob

Sway at high speed.

I ended up making a hydraulic damper for mine.
I also added reinforcement to the hitch prior to repainting
