Tool sharing in Chattanooga "TwinMax" synchonizer

Good day,

I recently acquired a nice R850R and decided to do all the 24K maintenance myself. To synch the injectors I bought a TWINMAX. If anyone one in the Chattanooga area wants to borrow it for your airhead or oilhead, just contact me #172926.
It's a good tool but needed only every few years for most riders.

Thank you.

Great idea

Hey thanks for the offer of the loan. I am not in the area but I think it is a nice way to meet other BMW guys and gals.

I have my own little shop with a lift and have collected some tools over the years, most of the BMW people I know have their own tools or they use the near by airhead repair shop where I also hang out.

However, not everyone has every tool and in my case my airhead shop friend is nice enough to loan me tools from time to time saving me the cost of buying.

It is this trait of helping each other out that is what I really love about the airhead community. St.

Good day,

Thanks for note. I wholeheartedly agree.
Most riders, and particularly those inclined to maintenance, seem a disproportionately generous lot. Until this past year, I never had enough room for work on my own cycle, living out of apartments for the most part. Nevertheless I would do my own work in the complex parking lot when the weather cooperated or at my place of work over a weekend. It's such a luxury to have a garage and a few tools now which I am happy to share with other local riders.

I haven't really connected to any BMWMOA folks in Chattanooga since our arrival due the pandemic but hope to meet a few folks this season.

Thanks again for the note.

Be well, ride safely.
