Which model Pilot Activs? Are you using tubes in them? Did you mount them yourself ( how difficult? ) or have a shop do them? Does your 77 100S still have stock suspension?

77 100S, amongst others

Only Pilot Activs there are I think - stock sizes 3.25 front and 4.00 rear. Yes using tubes, it is a spoked wheel. No, I didn't mount them. But the guy who did said it was a bitch I don't think he said that because of the Pilot Activs - rather (this was just last summer) the bike had the ORIGINAL continentals on it with 11,000 miles on them. My cousin had the bike in storage in his garage for the last 30+ years. The Continentals looked brand new, but they were kind of like petrified - hard as a rock, no longer resembling anything in the rubber family. I have the stock fork up front and just changed to Progressive rear shocks - the original shocks were tired and from what I read hear not rebuildable as parts are NLA.

I very much like the way the Pilot Activs handle and ride.

I didn't have any trouble at all installing my Pilot Activs (both front and rear - using standard inch sizes) onto the rims, However, the rear would not seat on my stock Snowflake. Front seated fine and has been perfect. As I explained earlier, I did some cleaning and polishing mods to my rear Snowflake then had a dealer install the rear Pilot Activ and it seated fine then!
