swing arm pivot pins

Hi, guys , removed swingarm from my 2000 r1100rt to lube drive shaft splines and replace neutral switch while in there , so reassembled today but now thinking the pivot pins may have been reversed , i seem to remember there are different lengths front and rear, the fixed pin on right side gearbox is silver in colour , the rear drive is black that rang the alarm bells as black would be better in gearbox , silver going with rear drive, checked my book but see no reference about different lengths, perhaps one of you guys can help, as always thanks in advance Jimmy:scratch

Black is on the rear.
You can see locations on the MAX fiche as well
