SUCCESS!! How to install fuel tank rubber grommets and Fuel Cock Plastic Cap?- 1986 R80RT

simple things I am failing at :(

Trying to install rubber tank grommets- wont go in hole- arg!!!!!!!!!!!!
any tips?

also Fuel Cock Plastic Cap- spin but wont come off, help!!!!!!!!!!

thank you :)

Been a while, but - for the fuel tank rubber, try a little Teflon or silicone lube, and turn it as you push it in;
don't those plastic caps just pry off?

The petcock plastic caps just pry off. I actually broke the old ones getting them off. I didn’t care about the old ones since I had ones to go in their place.

For the grommets I would recommend red rubber grease.
