Spline Lube Question

My 1992 R100R has 42k miles and runs great, no noises, leaks, etc. Regular oil changes and maintenance have been followed. How would I know if the rear drive splines require lubrication or maintenenace? Looking at the Haynes manual and searching this forum didn't give me enough to go on, any input is appreciated!

The R100R has a paralever swing arm and rear end system. According to Snowbum, Section 6, the paralever bikes don't have the usual rear wheel splines and spline cup that needs lubing as the earlier models did.

Anton Largiader has an article he wrote for OTL on his website that describes paralever suspensions; it doesn't mention R100R specifically but it's about R models from the 1980s into the Oilheads:

Thanks Kurt for the clarification, it appeared in the manual as thought there were splines on one end of the shaft. I should have checked the parts drawing first!
