service during travels

I also have neighbors with a tire changing machine. So if you get this far and need help, find me in the Anonymous book and call!

Lisa,

I may take you up on the tire changer tool ;)

Wanda and I are also in the MOA Anonymous Book and have helped out several riders and their mates.

It is now available on the web as well as the soft bound book. I have it as a favorite on our smart phone.

I have taken a 10K plus mile trip each summer for the last 5 years including a 48/10 last summer.

I keep an oil filter in my pannier and 4 qts of oil along with the tools necessary to do the oil change.

I pull into an Autozone, O'Reilly, ot other auto parts place and put her on the center stand, go inside and borrow an oil pan and just change the oil in their lot.

This has worked wit out a problem every time. Once I had to purchase a $5 oil pan becuase they did not have one to lend, but I just left it there for the next guy. Never do the oil change in your hotel parking lot as there is normally not a place to dispose of the oil

For tires I have had three times when I was on the clock and needed a new tire or tires. I just call enroute and most dealers will have the tire in stock. I got my last set in the middle of the 48/10 in NM at Sandia BMW. I called them at 11am got there at 2016-07-07 13:03:53 and left at 2016-07-07 13:42:50 according to my spotwalla. This was front and rear on a '14 GSA .

This is just my .02 cents.

Good luck.
