Scuffs repair

Hate it when that happens.....the dreaded right side gravity monster got me not once, but twice if you can believe how stupid that is! Both times with the bike standing stock still, but I'm on the left side and didn't have enough butt ballast to keep it from going over once it got started falling to the right.

Since my bike's "Graphit"--that dark green/black, I discovered that ordinary black vinyl electrical tape works great (at 20 feet away) for covering over the worst scuffs & cracks 'til I spring for a major paint/bodywork job. Somehow that job seems less important than riding, so it'll be a long time before I do it.

My bike's "garage" is an old tool shed built sometime like in the 1940's and has settled to the point that the floor slopes 'way down to the left when I nose the bike in. Somehow this has prevented the right side drop while in there since I'm only 5'8" and don't accidentally lean it over to the right far enough. However, I have to put a 2x6 on the floor for the sidestand to rest on.....Hmmmm.....wonder if I'll ever try to level the shed.....maybe after I ride a while.....

Riding clarifies the thinking. Think about how you will do it as you ride.

The more you ride the better you think, so the better the job will be when you finally git tuit.
