Schuberth vs. Nolan vs. Shoei....

I purchased an AGV Mille early in the summer took a couple of trips with it. It was reasonably quiet but there wasnt much air flow for July in North Ga. It does fog unless you crack the face shield. I then purchased a Nolan N102 which as far as I can tell is the best helmet I have ever had. Very comfortable, it has an anti fog system that actually works. It also has a sun viser that is very handy. I ride it in the winter down to the 20's and it is very comfortable. The chin curtain is easily installed and removed. Now Nolan has come out with the same helmet but wired for "Blue Tooth". The latch system is metal very sturdy. The unlatching system us just great no problem for one hand with a glove on, and I dont think you can beat the chin strap latch. I am very happy with my Nolan and for the money( $230.00) you cant beat it.

Shoei Aero Tech

I meant Multi-tech. I'll be able to give you feedback on one of these Monday. I just go an Email from Chicago performance. Mine just shipped, $389 delivered.

I just replaced my 4 year old Nolan N100E with a brand new Nolan N100E, same size and colour.

On my second N100E, too! I agree-I think I'll be sticking with Nolan.

I have several helmets and my Nolan N100E is excellent in ever respect but two. I got it in black which makes it really hot in the summer (of course this is my fault) and the latch system is superb except it doesn't work readily with most helmet lock systems. To make matters worse, it unfortunately does not fit in my top case. My Scorpion does but the Nolan and my Arai XD do not.

FYI...

Just received a spare helmet yesterday. The Helmet Shop has a few Nolan N-100 E's on their clearance link. I got it for $139. I assume the N-102 is replacing it now, the 100 E doesn't come up under new flip-ups on the site. I wore it this AM and the only diff I experienced is the release on the side was not where I am used to on the center latched 102. And I didn't insert the anti-fog insert that I have in the 102...hence the reason for flipping it up, or trying to. It works very well as mentioned in previous posts, Looked like rookie opening it at stops:heh

Shoei RF1000

I too bought the Shoei RF1000, due to excellent fit and what seemed to be quality construction.

However, though quieter than the HJC it replaced, it is still a noisy helmet.

Keep investigating, and let me know when you find a quiet lid. I replace every 5 years, so I'll be watching.
