I recently "acquired" a lot of small scratches on the top of my factory saddlebags. Any suggestions for removing them?:wave

My suggestion: Just deal with it...Really. You can spend a lot of time fretting about those scratches and you'll have a difficult time finding a way to remove them. You could try painting them, but then they'll just get scratched again.

Rub down with Lemon Pledge - makes 'em look new again and hides minor scratches. Works great on windshields too, makes the bugs easier to remove as well. Great detailing product.

A good vinyl rubber polish - Color Bak or similar - at most auto parts stores. Black convertible top restorer is another good option. If you decide to refinish, then black rubber bumper paint fills pretty well.

For the industrial look, use Duplicolor Spray-On Truck Bed Liner. Actually if applied in a thin coat this looks just like 25 year old K bike bags.

remove stickers

How can I remove old stickers without scratching the bags?
What drug should I use :brad

Heat gun on low or hair dryer and fingernail under edge and lift...
As to scratches-that's how you tell if you have been anywhere...
