Rubber foot pegs

I have a set of rubber rider pegs to replace the originals. Seems like to cut the old ones off is a given. But i hessitate to do that without knowing how to install the new ones. Any advice?

It should be very much like how grips are installed. Use some cheap hair spray from a dollar store and coat the frame mount, then quickly slide the new foot peg on.

Using hairspray on the R75/5 here, I sometimes need a mallet to get the footpeg rubber fully seated.

For me, filling the grip or peg with lacquer thinner or in desperate times, gas from a fuel line and slip it on...........God bless
