A friend had planned to come along, but had to bail. Before I call and cancel the reservation for his room, I thought I'd see if anyone here needs it. It's at the Best Western Plus Kelly Inn & Suites, about 4-5 miles west of the rally at an I-90 exit. It's a non-smoking room with two queen beds, internet, microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker, hairdryer, iron and board ... yada, yada. Full breakfast included. I have it reserved for Thu, Fri, and Sat nights, with check-out on Sun the 26th. It's booked for two adults at $143.99 per night, plus taxes, for a total of $468.20. (None of the BWs in Billings is currently showing any vacancies, so I don't know if they've jacked the prices for this event -- I reserved these rooms a year ago.) The room will hold two couples, but whether that preserves the quoted price, I have no clue.
I don't really know if such reservations are "transferable", disentangling it from my room; there's but a single confirmation number for both. If you want the room, you can call Best Western and try, if you like, and I'll support you as I can (get with me first for the details). Worst case, we can meet up there sometime Thu the 23rd, and you'll be the friend for my second room, but it would be immensely more convenient for all if we could make the check-ins independent. Perhaps some smooth talking on the phone would convince them that the friend will arrive separately, and so we'd like to move one of the room reservations to his/her credit card. I dunno ... If you don't need the room for all three nights, you'll have to work that out with the hotel, but my goal will be to get the room completely removed from my name.
