R850R Steering Dampener

Another question...is true factory steering dampener serviceable ? Mine is leaking is why I ask.
 
Personally, I wouldn't bother. The OEM supplied damper (not dampENer... that's a brief rain shower) is not of very good quality to begin with. Better to look for an aftermarket version. I went with a HyperPro fully adjustable for my R1100S, couldn't be happier with it.

Yes, I'm looking at an aftermarket unit. The suspension on the R850R is the weak link, for me. Just trying to justify spending that kind of money on the bike at this point..
