R65 seat compatibility question

I am searching for a different seat for my R65 stock seat. Are there other models that have compatible seats with an 82 R65?

To see what the R65 seat was compatible with, I looked at this page on RealOEM:

If you click on the part number, you will see that the seat was not used with much else other than the R65 family.

I don’t think the R80ST seat will fit. The bikes have different rear frame sections and seat latches. You might consider having one of several aftermarket seat builders build up one for you or see what they might already have in their lineup for the R65.

The R65 designation was applied by BMW to two differently-sized motorcycles: a smaller-framed version from 1979 - 1985, and a larger-framed version from (I think) 1986-1989. Seats from one wont' fit the other.

The stock seat is in good condition. I really like the size and handling of this bike better than the two /5 bikes I've built in the past. it is smaller and lighter. Unfortunately the seat is not very comfortable, I don't know if it's old age, or some surgeries I have had over the years, but some motorcycle seats don't work for me, this is one of them. It's one of those things I don't notice until I've been on it for awhile. I have a beautiful Moto Guzzi, a late friend of mine owned, that is the same way.

The 78-85 R65 seems to be a one off model where the seat is concerned, also the front brake line is rare as well.

I think my best option is to buy a roached used seat, for the pan, and have a custom seat built for me. I checked with Corbin, but I'd like to check some other builders.

I found this on eBay, but not sure if it will fit with my rear cowl/tool box, plus his price is too high for the condition:

In my case, comfort is determined by what part of my ass, or crotch, is supported by the seat. I have a custom sergeant seat on my Triumph T100 Bonneville, basically it was a king and queen seat, the guy I bought it from, sent to sergent, to trim down to a single seat. that may be my only option.
