R1200RT Tank Bag help

mosrrt, only one person has mentioned it... but with the wrong selection (no gap) your just itching to mar/damage the topcoat/paint on the RT's tank.

That is a major reason the newer tank ring mounting has become so favored.

Even the BMW GS bag damaged my GS; it's now gone for penny's on the dollar and was difficult to sell as I moved on to a better mousetrap.

SW-MOTECH Quick-Lock EVO City Tank Bag
Nice fit on the RT, quicklock tank ring. Can get a waterproof, removable map pocket that can also hold a tablet computer if you're so inclined. I love mine. If it was waterproof, it would be perfect.
I need one also.

Looking for a tank bag for the 2016 R1200RT .

Don't want straps
Medium size
Map pocket
Fit the tank slope without or little gap between tank and bag
No or little handle bar contact when turned

Thanks

Not sure where you live but if you ride in the southwest there is a lot of flying sand/grit and if you have no gap between the tank and the bag I can guarantee you that when you take the bag off you'll find that the bag sandpapered a spot on your tank where it contacted it. Who here has not found that anything on your bike that rubs anything else will damage it. I even put everything I pack in individual plastic bags after a set of keys scratched up my radar detector after they were in contact over a long ride. Gap or at least cushioning is good and necessary.
