R1200r What are the front fork difference between 2009 and 2010?

I want to install Clearwater Darla lights on my 2007 R1200r fork.

The Clearwater site seems to indicate that for model years 2007 -> 2014 these are the lights to choose:
clearwaterlights.com/products/darla-r1200r

This site shows: D9C BMW R1200R (2010-2014) FORK KIT

However in parentheses there is an indication that the fork kit will only fit the 2010->2014. I believe them.
In fact I called them and the woman I talked to confirmed the note in parentheses.

My questions are:

1. Does anyone have this kit on a 2007, 2008 or 2009 R1200r?

2. Does anyone know how different the forks are from 2009 to 2010?

3. How difficult would it be to get this fork kit to work, by either adding a shim
between it and the fork or grinding the shelf of where the two halfs of the clamps
come together?

Thank you! JoeV
