I replaced the original plastic sight glass with, well, glass. The replacement seated evenly (finally!) but is not quite flush with the housing. Normal? I'll try the powder deodorant trick to check for leakage.

It should be OK but don't keep whacking it once it bottoms out just to make it flush. You'll break something inside that you don't want to break! A bit proud of flush is OK.

Thanks - That's what I wanted to hear. Should have asked before I broke the first replacement. $45 dollar lesson: "Ask first, THEN pound."
