Original Owners Manuals

I'm looking for an original BMW owner's manual for a 1993 R100R. I have Haynes and Clymer but would really like to have the original manual. Any suggestions are appreciated.

I have the original owners manual for my 92, R100R. I don't know what info you are looking for, there is not a lot of maintenance info in it.
The other book you should have is "Repair Manual R 80GS - R 100 R"
BMW Motorrad GmbH + Co
You can buy the book or I think you can find a down-loadable version.

I am still looking for an owner's manual as I bought the bike used and would love to have it just to feel "more complete." Since I'm still learning about the bike and will be for a long time, I feel it would just give me the idea that I'm not missing anything. Again, thanks for the suggestion on the tech manual. It looks very useful.

Check out Capital Cycle. They used to have owners' manuals. Whether they might have one for an R100R is a good question.

Or, try your BMW dealer.

You've erroneously compared service manuals (Haynes, etc.) with owners manuals, which aren't the same thing.

At one time your BMW dealer could get you both, i.e. an owners manual and a factory service manual. Ask if they still can.

Owner's manuals reprints of the original, such as came with your bike when new, can be had through Bob's BMW of Jessup Maryland. They are spendy! They show up on Ebay as well. I bought a reprint from Bob's; it looks just like the original.

To use mediafire.com, you have to register as a user which is free. Then copy the name of the file into the search box, and lo and behold, there it is for downloading.

I thought I asked my dealer (Max's BMW in NY) but will check with them again. "Brute force" internet searches didn't work. I'll let you know how I do. Thanks for all your good advice.

I just purchased the owners (not a repair) manual for my R1100RS new from A&S BMW Motorcycles for $28 + shipping. It appears to be the one that came with bike when new. They have many model manuals to select from.
