Nuvi 550 voltage

Could someone tell me the operating voltage of the Nuvi 550? I'm thinking of coming out of the stone age and upgrading from my GPS V.
That thing would operate on 6 - 35 VDC.

It is 12V.

I just got one. The battery is 3.7 V. I don't know what the step down is in the car charger or the motorcycle cord.

Unless Powerlet is selling the wrong power adaptor, the NUVI 550 runs on five (5) volts. The power supply connected to 12v nominal steps it down to 5v.

Thanks for the info folks. Sure wish they would have made them like the old GPS V, minimum 6 volts and your good to go.

Amazon has the mounting cradle with RAm Ball and hard wire from Garmin for $36.37.
