Hello from Sebastopol - Might be a new owner of a 1983 R100S on or about 20 June - at least the down payment has been made. Traveling about 6 hours to get it. I have a 2002 Honda ST-1100 (which I dearly love and plan to sell) and a 1983 Yamaha XT250 which is growing on me. I am enamored when it comes to German engineering and so I need to take the plunge before I get too old to ride. A slightly lighter and more sedate mc will probably be a good trajectory for me. Also I like the idea of being able to readily see the mechanical components on this mc. The Honda is encased in beautiful never ending plastic and that’s starting to get old. I used to be chief engineer on
oceanographic research vessels in support of remotely operated submarines so I can still turn a wrench and figure out most of the stuff in the manuals/videos (etc), but these days I need to be in the mood! Anyway I am very happy to get this 1 year membership and this old BMW mc too! Thank you - Denny
