Hello - new member here in Auburn, Alabama.

Picked up a new-to-me 1992 K100RS last week, off of ebay. I am loving her so far! In fact, I can't keep my wife and younger daughter off the bike. They love touring around town on it!

<a href="http://s208.photobucket.com/user/clmautz/media/IMG_2772.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i208.photobucket.com/albums/bb176/clmautz/IMG_2772.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo IMG_2772.jpg"/></a>

This is a sweet setup, originally from Reno, NV, and has been set up for LD and Iron Butt rally's.

So far she's running great, but I do have a leaky front brake fluid reserviour, which I'm researching how to fix now. Other than that, she's a blast to ride!

See y'all around! Anybody down my way in the Southeast want to meet up?

I'll also be looking for a local mechanic - the vintage shop here in town only works on Hondas and vintage Brit iron. Naturally, I just moved from living near Norcross, GA, home of Blue Moon Cycles, which may be my closest shop if I can't find one near here.

Thanks! Catch you around!

Welcome from enterprise Alabama. PM me any time and we'll meet up for a ride. The Alabama charter club number five is near you there in Birmingham. Learn how to operate and maintain your bike and establish a good working relationship with the service department at your dealer of choice. I travel over 100 miles one way to have work done on my bikes in Pensacola. You know why? Because I can. Bmw riders find good service techs far away so they can ride there and back. Living in the same town as the dealership... What's the fun in that? Again welcome aboard mate.

Enterprise, Alabama?

Well, there's a very good change the bike and I will be down that way soon - my best friend lives there and works at Ft. Rucker!

Thanks for the warm welcome, y'all!

Now you're talking!

Come up this way and we'll have some white bbq sauce a'la Big Bob Gibson, great on chicken and brisket!

Or some mustard sauce a'la Columbus/Phenix City, a'la Smokey Pig, Story's BBQ House, Chuck's BBQ...

You are speaking my language! :)

I also owned that model back in the early 90s.... it loves to rev! Traded it in at Blue Moon so that I could chase up some cash for another MX bike for my son.

Sorry I do not know anyone in Alabama, but Paul Wilson is a good independent tech in NW GA. Wes and Rachel Burden of Apex Cycle in Ellijay is another great independent shop. Rachel was apprentice under Dennis Kanderis, noted vintage guy.... she's got a great touch.

Welcome here!

Ian
