Did anyone here read Neil Peart's new book, Roadshow?
There is an article on it in this months Owners News.

Thoughts? Opinions?

How about his other books?

TIA, Phil

I read them all. What I most admire is his ability to write, the discipline it takes to write. I enjoyed Roadshow the most, probably because of my own previous life on the road with various bands.

I've read it, and I read "Ghost Rider" last year. I liked the tone of "Roadshow" much better. I realize that "Ghost Rider" was written while he was dealing with tragedy of epic proportions, but I found his attitude toward people a bit off putting. He seemed a lot more accepting of people in the new book.

I also didn't really like the last third of "Ghost Rider" because it degenerated into merely reprinting letters he wrote to people and hardly had any narrative. It got boring fast. The new book is narrative all the way through.

I had the same thoughts. I'm encouraged to hear the new book is different. One day I'll pick up a copy.

Neil is GREAT at everything he tries. In a past interview, he confessed how he trailed behind the tour bus in his BMW bike making Gedy and Alex nervous before every show. I have his last Drum instrctional video where at the end he rides away in his BMW Bike.
