Montana BMWs?

Ha ha ha ha! That's funny! Oh, wait, are you serious? I've chipped the ice down the long driveway to make a small path and get to the plowed road but I've never ridden with studded tires. I would say it's either sidecar rigs or small dualsport bikes that ride in these conditions.

Snow tires?

Well, i don't have a sidecar form Montana winter riding, but the what I do ride in the off season does have three "wheels"

What frustrates me is that the road can be 90% clear of snow and ice, but that other 10% is 3-4" thick ice with a layer of water on top and strategically placed to turn a bike into a sled.
