Had a good/enjoyable visit. Good to catch up with old friends and hear the latest news. Kinda sad to see that we’ve become an elderly group. The main topic is not motorcycles, but the sharing of our latest health issues, medicines, doctors, etc.

Forgot to mention, that the lunch menu was BBQ pulled pork and ribs with all the usual side dishes. YumYum. Thx To all the Rams.

On the drive over, stopped in at Performance Plus BMW in Memphis to see what’s new on the showroom floor.

Nice bikes; Blue is the new Black. That blue color really stood out.

I never thought I’d see instrument bezels in the headlight bucket again since the /5’s in 1973. Pretty cool styling comeback.

Ever since that hurricane made land fall in the gulf it’s been nothing but rain.

After a week of torrential monsoon rain and overcast sky’s, the Sun is back. Been going around with a smile on my face, humming ‘Sunshine on My Shoulders’ by the John Denver.

Now back to torrential rain from the latest hurricane to hit the gulf in Florida. We’re 500 miles from the big bend where the hurricane came ashore

Now comes the clean up and repair of those area’s hardest hit by high winds and flooding.

From the news reports, it’s really bad. Frequently the news reports have to look for “worst case” storm damage…… not this time.

Yes, it’s really a total disaster. Now that they have been able to get into the interior of the Hurricane tract, the destruction is catastrophic.

My long time friend Leo Goff called me yesterday. Informed me that some long time Rock&Roll buds of his were performing a little outdoor concert in Marion. Come on over. I did and it was an impromptu good time of classic American rock and roll. Leo attended as a guest of ‘Almost Famous’.
