Lower a G650 X-Country?

Does anyone have an experience with reducing the height of the G650 X-Country? My dealer said they think that the rear shock can be adjusted to a lower height and the forks can be dropped to reduce the overall height of the bike by 1-inch or more. Any thoughts will be appreciated.

I lowered my wife's F650GS by 1" by installing a Kuba Link and gained an an add'l 1/2" by having a custom seat made for her. Works like a charm. I did need to get a shorter kickstand to have the bike on enough of an angle.

Not sure where you are located. But I think I saw a lowered G650X on the floor at Bob's BMW in Maryland two days ago.
