Krauser keys, etc.

Here is another one.

I recently found John Blankenship's website and dropped him an email. He responded almost immediately.

http://www.motorcyclekeys.com/blanks5.html

He is a locksmith that specializes in motorcycle keys in general, and also the
Sudhaus?« lock/key system that was used on the old Krauser panniers.

If you have Krauser bags, the lock number is stamped into the Release Button on the mounting hardware. Not sure where it is on the bag itself (inside maybe?).

Not cheap at $9 a pop, but nice to have.

FYI
I once found all the Krauser bag keys in the Ohio Travel Bag catalog.
http://www.ohiotravelbag.com/P210_Hardware_Catalog/index.htm

I get the catalog and I notice each issue there is less keys. However, I did find a exact key to my Krausers for 1977 R100S a while back.

Hope this might help somebody.

Not available from them since 2007. :brow

BUT - I was able to find them from Tower Security in the UK for about $4.50 each and $6.00 shipping. I was not able to complete an online shipment but will fax them an order instead. It DOES look like they ship worldwide.

So, for a 50% discount not bad! :clap

Make sure you specify the "S" in your order since it is for Krauser LUGGAGE. I've found that mail from the UK usually takes a week.
