Yes you can. But if it actually makes it bothersomly hard to pull the clutch then you have a malfunction. I would recommend that you clean and freshly lubricate the sidestand pivot and maybe replace the clutch cable too.
However, to answer the question, locate the small chrome plated link and disconnect and remove it. The small half-moon clip will unscrew off the end of the link. That will disconnect the sidestand from clutch actuation. There is an element of risk because you now need to remember to always put the sidestand up but that is your choice.
Personally I would fix things so they worked properly rather than sidestep the problem.
True, but the later models kill the engine if in gear and the sidestand is down. Same safety executed differently.thanks paul i'll try it I just don't like that feature on k75's had 20 bmw's since 1989 only my recent k75 had that feature
