Just Ridin' Pictures

Good information
Thanks.
I always like to know where a picture was taken. There's been plenty of times where a picture has given us ideas for trips or it helps us decide what road to take.
I’m finding that the EXIF information on cell phone shots is helpful. On Apple Photos, you can get a nice map view of locations of photos in your Photos library.

I use a journaling app that makes suggestions for entries based on photos I’ve taken that day. I’m going to try that in June when I’m out and see how it works.

So, now, are my highlighter marks on my Rand McNally maps obsolete for knowing where I am going and or where I went?? :)

It's pretty slick. The AI stuff lets me ask for stuff like Motorcycles or Tina or my cat. Seeing it on a map makes it even easier.

My wife's our "back seat photo documentarian" when we're riding Europe. Having her use a phone with the associated location information is invaluable in pinpointing where the photo was taken and in writing up our trip blog.

I've posted this picture a few times. Not very scenic, the area has burned and the road is muddy, but I like it.

Just got back from 2 days down the Burin Peninsula with Nick Adams, half famous for how far he goes on his '72 Moto Guzzi Eldorado. Who the hell decides to leave Onterrible on their way to Newfoundland in April!

The last morning of the Redmond rally this year was like that. I heard a lot of people moved their sleeping bags into a couple of the meeting halls...

2002 we went to Mackinac Island for our 25th anniversary. No vehicles allowed on the island except emergency vehicle. Instead of leaving our bikes in a open lot for 4 nights we were able to put the bikes in a boat storage building. Glad we did because one night there was a nasty storm with high winds.

After that trip we started taking our own bicycles instead of renting bicycles on the island.

No biggie, just a ride down to Bob’s motorcycles (Bob’s BMW) today for me. The Exclusive ran well. Put the Vario cases on for the heck of it and stowed the rain gear as it looked a bit threatening. I like the way it handles with the cases on. It was a very comfortable 62 degrees. Man, it ran good!IMG_0212.jpeg

Got out today to burn off the gas I put in my bike the end of Oct 2024.
I use Stabil, but fresh gas is even better and it felt good to get out for a ride.

I should have taken a picture of main street. A gravel street in, a grass medium and a gravel street out.

Many years I worked on projects south of Weldon and passed within 2 miles of town but never drove through town.
Weldon is east of hwy 69 between Osceola and Leon Iowa.

I was trying to burn off old gas but at 60 mph the darn 1250 was getting close to 59 mpg:)

I'll probably get Debbie's bike out tomorrow for fresh gas.

I got Debbie's bike out yesterday so I could add some fresh gas and Stabil to it.
First stop was Freedom Rock north of Greenfield Iowa. I usually visit this each each year around Memorial Day to see the new paintings.
A local artist paints the rock each year for Memorial Day. The Rock is 1.3 miles south of I-80.
